Glen Arden has a "progression system" which allows each camper to set her own pace within her activity schedule. Progressions are similar to Girl Scout badge work: there are five levels of proficiency beginning with Clansman, working up through Woodgatherer, Firebuilder, Torchbearer, and ultimately reaching Tender of the Flame.
We offer instruction in many outdoor adventure activities, as well as horseback riding, various popular land sports as well as water sports. We also have a variety of creative activities that include an exceptional Performing Arts class.
Our activities are taught by counselors who are skilled in the subjects they teach. A camper chooses the activities she wants to take and signs up for a regular schedule of three periods on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and three different classes on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
