The Progression System is used camp-wide and helps each camper progress at her own pace in her chosen activities. There are five levels through which the campers advance. Upon attaining the fifth and final level, Tender of the Flame, a camper is actually able to teach that activity. All campers are recognized for their achievements each week at Council Fire which provides them with an ongoing sense of accomplishment.
Each activity is taught by counselors who are skilled teachers in their area. The gym is the hub of activity for basketball, dance, and gymnastics. Our two large playing fields are home to soccer and softball, while volleyball, archery, and riflery have their own locations. The tennis courts are located on a mountain ridge where cool breezes blow.
Available Land Sports:
Land sports activities are designed to allow the campers to hone their skills and become better competitors. Sportsmanship is the hallmark of every game played at camp. It is here where campers are taught the importance of winning with grace and losing with dignity.
